La découverte du chocolat, boisson des dieux.

Christophe Colomb découvrit le chocolat au nouveau monde. En effet, les Aztèques consommaient le chocolat bien avant tout le monde sous la forme d'une boisson amère à base de graines de cacao grillées et d'épices. Rien à voir avec le chocolat que nous connaissons actuellement, à tel point que les conquistadores la trouvaient imbuvable.Malgré tout, chez les Aztèques cette boisson sacrée était tellement appréciée que seuls les gens riches en consommaient. Les graines de cacao étaient aussi utilisées comme monnaie par les indigènes. Aussi, les conquistadores ne virent initialement dans le cacao qu'un moyen d'้change pour obtenir de l'or.
